So back in April Nick and I got this brilliant idea that we would go on a jog/bike ride with the kiddos and Sam. It was a hilarious endeavor to say the least. We drove to one of the Centennial Trail parking lots about a mile from our house. Tova was to ride on Nick's bike with a handy little kiddo chair device, Deven was to ride his own bike and I would jog along side with Sam. I think we made it about a half mile south before it was absolutely necessary that we turn around. Dev didn't quite have the hang of things and so kept steering off the path...into various ditches. Furthermore, when ever Nick and Tova got too far away Sam would bark incessantly at a high pitch such that it was like I was hitting with a stick or something. So I guess bottom line, we got out as a family but it was certainly walking that line of worth it / not worth it. This is a familiar line we walk so perhaps rather than saying it was a partial fail...we can just call it a normal Sunday outing for this crazy family.
