Snow week!

Thanks to Nick's expert driving skills we didn't miss a day of school or work during the snow storm this week.  But this also meant that Deven didn't get to play outside during the day making him certifiable by the end of the day.  Here are some pics of Deven working out the jitters before dinner each night.  We all had a great time, to snow was beautiful, but I'm glad our 10+ inches have begun melting.

Swimming and snow

Our first swim lesson of the year was today.  Deven had a good time as usual but the snow made for a strange effect.  It's always odd to go swimming when all you see is snow out the windows.  No matter though, after swimming the boys got bundled up for round two in the snow.  It's still dumping up here.  Good thing we all have tomorrow off for MLK Day!!

First snow of 2012

Deven and daddo had a blast yesterday for our first snow of the year.  There was even enough for a snow man, who was of course a hockey snow man.

Let It Snow...

Entertainment

To all my stay at home momma friends, I salute you. If we could, I would but as I told Nick today, there is a reason why we need to PAY for child care...it is tough. It has been over a year since I went back to work and I miss hanging out with Deven every day all day. That being said, keeping this busy guy entertained all day is insanely difficult. Here are some fun pics from our adventures so far this week...please note that I chose not to document hair pulling (Sam's and mine), tantrums (devens and mine), throwing food and reading the same book over and over and over again! In between all this there were tons of kisses, new words, new signs, extremely successful lunches at new restaurants and walks with Sammy in the snow (no stroller)!!

SNOW!!

We ditched plans for our first bus trip into Seattle and decided to play in the snow instead. The snow suit was supposed to be a Christmas present but I figured the snow and ice were a sign and I let him open it early. It was a challenge keeping Deven entertained inside all day but getting to play with him in the snow for the first time really helped balance the day! It's 15 degrees in LS right now. Though its about a month before the winter solstice I think we can say it has officially arrived non-the-less.
