Best Day

I've been meaning to post these ones for a few weeks now.  Omg are my kiddos are the cutest (this day)!  After trying a new (to us) fish and chips place and discovering Tova LOVES halibut we were wandering for a treat. Thanks to two bakeries and a creperie being closed we discovered a new frozen yogurt shop in DT Snohomish.   This was one of the best afternoons we've had as a family to date according to me.  Probably the sun who at the time hadn't shown much of himself.  My company was pretty good too!  Please note Tova's sign for more frozen yogurt and our kiddos unconditional love.  I plan to show these pics to them when they are close to killing each other some day.

A big thank you!!

My guys looking dapper at the starting line
Deven, registered and ready!  He made it half a mile to the starting line and then it was the back pack or stroller the rest of the way...that is except for the last 30 yards across the finish line.  Crazy kid.
Tova's first event hairband ready.  She slept most of the way we were moseying so hard!
We had a great time at our walk at UW today to help support juvenile diabetes!  Mom & Dad, Jim & Karen and Jessica get special props for donating to our team aptly named 'Hang On, Gotta shoot Up.' We had a great time with our friend Renee and her other friends and family.  I was able to meet my $ goal for the team. It is still up in the air but Renee has some checks to cash still and we just may make our overall $1,500 goal.  So thanks all for your support!

Uncle Aaron's new ride

Uncle Aaron comes up to visit at least once a month.  Movies, dinner or just hanging usually but a couple weeks ago he made a special trip with his new ride Bernadette.  Yes Bernadette. :). Our kiddos just love Uncle Aaron, he is one of the only people that Tova hugs of her own accord and Deven wants to build America just like uncle Aaron.  But when he brings up a new motorcycle and is pretty much "bad ass" their love just goes to some other level!  Here are the boys posing with Bernadette.

Skippy Jon Jones

The Everett children's museum had a little production of Skippy Jon Jones today.  I'm so glad we decided to wake Tova up from her nap (after two hours) because she loved it just as much as Deven did.  The book series has been a favorite of ours since my sister's got Deven the books a couple years ago.  For the most part both our kids sat and watched the VERY animated show.  Huge miracle in our book.  Maybe a sign of a calmer world?  I won't hold my breath, especially given our post show play date up stairs with a best bud Charlie.  Tova has been to the museum a lot in her short life but this is really the first time we've let her just go...apparently she was ready.

Please note Deven dressed himself today
Little dare devil was climbing up and down the slide
She tried really hard to climb up just like Dev
Post show meal - how could we not have Mexican after a Skippy Jon Show (lots of references to yummy frijoles)

Happy Friday

The ladies found an old picture of Tova and gave it to me this morning.  I think she is about 6months old.  Look very carefully at our sweet Tova. showing her sass at an early age. Have a happy Friday!!

Please Support Me in the JDRF Beat the Bridge to Beat Diabetes

 Renée Burgess

Hi All I am going to go out a limb here but stick with me, it's important.

This year, I'll be taking part in the 31st Annual Nordstrom Beat
the Bridge to Beat Diabetes, benefitting JDRF.  Our goal is to
raise more than $1.54 million for JDRF, the leading global
organization focused on type 1 diabetes (T1D) research.

I decided to join my friend Renee's team this year.  She has
participated in this even for the last couple of years.  The
cause is near to her heart as she lives every day with T1D.
Renee is a teacher, a momma and a down right awesome
friend.  I can't imagine adding T1D on top of a momma schedule.
So in support of her and the cause in general I’m asking you to
help my fundraising efforts with a donation. Your tax-deductible
gift will help make a difference in the lives of people with T1D.

It is faster and easier than ever to donate. Simply click on the link
at the bottom of this message to donate online. If you prefer, you
can mail your gift check to me at the address listed below. Please
make the check out to JDRF and include my name in the “Memo”
section.

Lake Stevens, WA 98258-8425

Any amount, great or small, helps JDRF get closer to its goal to
improve the lives of every person affected by T1D by accelerating
progress on the most promising opportunities for curing, better
treating, and preventing T1D. I greatly appreciate your support and
will keep you posted on my progress.

Thanks for your help everyone,
Angela
