Snow!!

I sort of really want it to snow.  Maybe so we can finally ski now that I'm not preggo or recovering from being preggo!!...or maybe to see these two crazies have a blast in it.  I don't think I've posted these gems before but this was earlier in December when we had a day or two of snow up here Everett's polar vortex of sorts.  Here's hoping for snow on some none engaged weekend soon.

Sick kiddo

I haven't done official research but I'm pretty sure one or both of the kiddos gets sick this week every year.  It was Tova's turn this year.  The flu got her...and not the achy muscle stuffy head kinda flu, much to Nick and my dismay.  I thought it was too rich of food Tuesday night but I had just gotten to work when school called me back to come quarantine her for 24 hours. :)  Anyhow she faked us out for another 48 hours only to end up sick again on Friday.  I got the house clean on Wednesday during the fake out and Nick got some serious Daddo and Tova cuddle time only to match her first month of life on Friday.  So holiday weekend was free and clear of...unpleasantness. : )

We don't do it as often as we should or want to but Deven and I finally got out on our own.  We went to see Frozen the new Disney movie and then went to Red Robin for lunch.  He wanted a burger but ended up with mac and cheese of course.  The movie was awesome actually, I would recommend seeing it if you want to get out of the rain this winter.

Christmas was a whirlwind and I may just now be recovered.  Give me another month perhaps.  The holiday season is like being pregnant or like trying beets.  It takes a little while before you forget all the cons and want to try it again.  Here are some pictures from this year's 48 hour extravaganza.

Can you here the song?  Doooowwwn towwwwnnn!!  I think that was our theme last week when we brought the kids with us on what was going to be our 13 year dating anniversary out.  Our sitter cancelled at the last minute so we took them with us.  We hit all our favorites and frankly it was a great way to celebrate.  In pictures...

The 2013 tree hunt

We found a new place to get a tree this year and we are thinking it is a keeper.  Ever since the church a block away stopped selling them a couple years ago we've been with out a 'go-to' tree lot.  It's about three miles south east of us but its got a little hike to see some old growth trees, and a ton of the you-cut nobles that we love.  Santa was there and of course hot chocolate and free antlers.
